We are very glad to share the sighting of a pangolin that was reported by the village communities in one of the villages near the Gombe National Park in Tanzania. Since local people themselves informed wildlife managers to rescue it, it shows that local people are willing to support pangolin conservation. TRCO aims to campaign for pangolin conservation in Tanzania in collaboration with wildlife authorities, local communities, veterinarians, and other conservation practitioners. Furthermore, TRCO intends to champion the development of guidelines that will enable wildlife conservation practitioners to release rescued pangolins.Conducting further research to understand why pangolins utilize village lands and assessing the willingness of local people to coexist with pangolins.

TRCO is open to your support to save pangolins in Tanzania. For donations or clarification, please contact us at info@trco.or.tz, or spread the word about pangolin conservation wherever you are.
